Join me for 2 hours of clay time!

Ever wonder what it’s like to take a piece of earth and shape it into something like a bowl, cup, or figurine? In this workshop we’ll explore different methods of making (coiling, pinching, and slabs)—no plans, just pure playfulness. Beginners love this workshop because there is no pressure, and seasoned potters love it because it’s a chance to get out of your normal routine and make something just for fun!

I’ll bring the clay, tools, and skills and you just show up in comfy clothes and trimmed nails.

What to expect:

• Each participant will get 1.5 lbs of stoneware clay to make whatever they like

• We will dedicate 1 hour to making, and the rest of the time will be dedicated to decorating with underglaze (special paint for clay).

• Come with an idea, or just let the clay do the talking

• I will guide you, give you tips and tricks, and make suggestions

• All finished pieces will be fired and glazed

• Workshops are limited to 10 people

• Keiki are welcome, but participants 17 and under must be accompanied by a guardian

• All work will be fired and returned to the gallery for pickup in ~3 weeks

*** Once you sign up for the workshop, you will automatically be registered. You will receive an email the week of the working with detailed instructions. All workshops are nonrefundable. You may cancel up to 72hrs before the workshop begins for store credit or towards another workshop at the gallery. Artists have the right to cancel a workshop or move the workshop date at their discretion, due to illness. You will be notified as soon as possible if this rarity does occur.
