AHONUI
Artist and designer Chip Fasciana, well known as "Ferdbot" live and works in Kailua, Oahu. His work is made exclusively with upcycled materials and his newest collection of work is no exception. Ferbot’s installation AHONUI, which in Hawaiian translates to patience and perseverance, captures its meaning through the use of upcycled materials, intricate patterns, and layers with tedious designs.
Fasciana has painted a wide variety of public murals in Hawai‘i, New York, and California. He has exhibited his paintings in New York City, London, California, and Hawai‘i. Fasciana has also won a variety of awards including "Artist of the Year" from Albany Center Galleries as well as the "Masterpiece Award" from the Albany Institute of History and Art. Ferbot has also directed and curated the critically acclaimed Albany Underground Artists, who hosted Guerrilla Pop-Up Art Shows in Elaborate vacant buildings in Upstate New York and New York City.
OPENING RECEPTION: OCTOBER 5TH, 11AM-1PM
Join us on October 5th from 11am-1pm where you'll have the opportunity to meet Ferdbot and gain insight into his journey and artistic process. Light refreshments will be served. This is a free event but RSVP's are appreciated.
